SLJ DAY 3

Kia Ora, my name is Max. I am going to talk about the problems that Rosa Parks faced.

Civil rights are basic rights that should be the same for every person. But when Rosa Parks sat on the bus that day they weren't the same, because black people were treated differently and didn't have the same rights as white people. One day she was on the bus and then she got arrested on the bus.

  1. Kia Ora Max,

I’m Dani, one of the blog commenters for the Kaikohekohe cluster of the Summer Learning Journey. It’s awesome to see that you are back participating in the Summer Learning Journey again this year! I can’t wait to read more of your blog posts soon!

Well done for completing another Summer Learning Journey blog post. Remember you can do as many posts as you like, in whatever order you like! Have you learnt about civil rights before? We are very lucky here in New Zealand to not have the civil rights issues that many other countries around the world face.

How are your holidays going? Have you done anything exciting or interesting?

    Blog ya later,
