My chicken divas

KIA ORA my name is Maximus Miers. I am a year 6 student and I go to Ohaeawai primary. We have been doing some chicken divas in our class. We have been decorating our art. I decorated my with some beeds and feathers and some pom poms. My one is called Evil Man hope you enjoy my art.

One was inspired by an artist named Kadinsky who used coloured circles in his work. We looked at the contrast between warm and cool colours and the black and white of the buildings. Some things I did well was making my building.

Some things I could improve on are my cold colours.

Art Sample

We have been working on using different art techniques to draw our faces. We have used sketching pencils to sketch our faces, making sure we made our facial features an accurate shape, size and putting them in the correct places.

We learnt about Picasso’s style and made our own funky Picasso portraits.
