Here are 6 amazing facts about Māui dolphins:

  1. Females are larger than a males.
  2. Māui dolphins life span is only up to 30 years.
  3. Māui dolphins are the smallest dolphins in the world.
  4. They have pink eyes to see under water better.
  5. Because the current population is only 63 dolphins they would only be able to increase their numbers by one per year.
  6.  They produce just one calf every 6-10 years.
DOC are looking after this species.

    Wow you have been busy in your holidays. So proud of you.Yes we all need to make sure that we learn about these dolphins and other sea creatures so that we can tell people what they need to do to make sure that they do not all die.
